December Pack Meeting and Charity Drive
Hello Scouts and families,
ACTIVITY: For our December Pack activity we would like to have a GAME NIGHT! I would like to ask that each family bring a board game for 2-4 players that can be completed in about 20 minutes, allowing each Scout to play at least two games in the evening. Some game ideas would be Chess, Checkers, Stratego, Sorry, Battleship, Mankala, Yahtzee, Connect Four, and whatever you have in your game closet. So get your game face on and let’s have some fun!
CHARITY: For our annual charity drive we would like to collect for two worthy causes;
1) Cradles to Crayons – when you go out on Black Friday to do your shopping, it would be wonderful if you would be kind enough to pick up an extra hat and mitten set, gloves or a scarf to help families that find it difficult to provide winter necessities for their children. Let’s help to keep kids safe and warm this winter. I would like to have a parent volunteer (or two) to spearhead the coordination, collection and delivery of the good to the “Cradles to Crayons” organization. Please let me know if you are interested in helping.
2) School Supplies to Children of Afghanistan – We would like to collect art and school supplies such as; pens, pencils, crayons, paper and activity books for children in Afghanistan. Anything you see fit to donate would be greatly appreciated. Steven Ronayne has volunteered to collect all donations and organize the delivery through his contact Sgt. James Z. Mwihia, US Army.
Thank you for all your support!
Yours in Scouting,
Michael Hamilton
